Things are way too small and still as unclear as before, I think I will just keep working on my 4k tiles instead.

thats how they made this game initially. pixel, not textures.

having textures would be great indeed, but that means reworking pretty much all visual content of the game which borders on madness and it might be worth it to go for an indie game instead.

th2 had that back in 2010
you took that from old th2 source and ported, although you fucked up and added bugs and slowdowns as you always do.

we actually watched how you interact with bug reporters and laughed to tears.
i even made a bet you'll fuck up tchernobog in 4-5 months and you didnt fail me hahaha

I'm not really sure what distinction you are trying to making here. If by textures you mean that they are scaled to the output then we already do that to some extend, and it would only be about the engine implementation. The original diablo graphics Was rendered from 3d models so in all aspects this would be the same here.

I have been part of a couple of prior projects where we redid all the graphics for a game in HD, it's a lot of work yes, not in no way impossible.

Wow, do I read here that there is work being done on high-resolution graphics for Diablo?
Anything public I could share to try and bring you help from people who know their way around modelling/texturing?

Yeah, but progress is slow at the moment as most work is going in to the engine, I finished some more variants of the dungeon tiles, but there isn't much point in posting them before I finish the wall texture

for the love of god mordor, shut the fuck up, you self agrandizing baby
oh its you grandpa?
still on a raw salt diet, i see?
good. feel the butthurt. you better get used to it.
cause its gonna get worse, seeing that you cant do anything about it.
It's funny how much hate poordor is getting :D all earned I have to say.
It's quite ironic that you are still shitting on me instead of kissing my feet for all the cool things I coded for th2, yet you claim I stole everything from it :D did I steal pixel light from th2 too? hurr durr, where is it?
If not me, your mod would still be a boring unplayable crap
To quote my message from another place
"I've written these things from scratch:
floating texts
health bar
perks system
special game modes (ironman,hardcore,nightmare etc.)
poison system
highlighting items with alt
new item descriptions windows
and much more"
Please tell me where your funny mod would be without these.
Oh wait, I know, in the dustbin ;) where it will get eventually, I only postponed the thing.

per pixel light? th2 had it back in the 1996 right? XD

you participated in The Hell 2 development for a couple months and it left so many memories you can't forget. Must have been the time of your life : ) It must be really inconvenient truth for you to realize that your portion of labour in TH2 was a drop in the sae. A lot more was done which is always accessible in the changelog for it.

what you claim you did was 100% from MY to do list that was written long before your enlisting. you did what i told you to do and as i said before, you did bad. most of it was re-written and fixed. King Midas turned to gold everything he touched, you turn everythinh you touch - to complete shit. It has to be fixed after you. You are rude and wreckless coder. An absolute disaster to stability. I'm sure people who are making decisions about devilution are very picky about your pull requests.

where would TH2 be without these features you coded? Exactly where it is right now. Because these features would have been coded by other coders. Professional c++ coders to be exact. With or without you. It's going where i set the course.

concerning per pixel lighting you pride yourself in. it's from tchernobog. was it even released? can people even play that pixel lighting mod? knowing you and tchernobog, it's another bugged and performance taxing practically NOT working addition that you keep babbling about and the only people who believe that are those gullible enough to do so, or those who don't know yet that you never finish what you start.

Your kind (losers) are good about one thing: making up excuses why things didn't go the way they wanted. Successful projects always attract attention. ANd criticism too. That's inevitable. Saying there are people who are salty about some of my decisions about TH2 and it's earned, well that's true. There are 2 types of mods: those that are scolded a lot, and those nobody cares about. People who criticse TH2 - play it. People who dont criticise what you create - that means they dont care about what you did. They might give you shoulder taps and say "good job" but they will not play it. Comforting words but again, no results.

The only type of people who can be a rival to TH2 these days is those who can start and finish what they do. But even they will fail in the end because I beat them on a different territory: discipline, commitment, not giving up, responsibility. Guys like Belzebub creator can win the fight but they lose the war.

And right now what you created - nobody wants, you are an ass clown. And The Hell 2 has no competition. That's the truth, my stupid skinny monkey

The pixel light mode's code is available online. It's visually distinct (colored lights, shadows in town) and you can also tell that the code wasn't just stolen from somewhere else.

I have been part of several mods (Kzmod, Digital Paintball, Nuclear Dawn, Insect infestation, Duke3D HRP) that all attracted a healthy portion of positive attention. The negative attention that TH/TH2 appears to garner mainly seems to focus on two areas. The many parts of the mod that have questionable origins, and the hostile development environment around it. This is really a shame as TH/TH2 are both impressive mods, and some of the best for Diablo. I'm not sure what has caused you to have this feud with qndel, but when you make insults and accusations that are based on things that can easily be verified to be without bases (like with the pixel lighting), it undermines your credibility making me doubt the other accusations that you are proclaiming.

I also do not understand the resistance to collaborate, both The Hell 2 and Devilution team spend a lot fo time working on essentially the same code, a lot of effort is wasted by doing it in two separate camps.Even back a few years when I offered to do graphics, for a new hero for TH, I didn't find the community very welcoming or open :(
