Nobody can log in. Unless there's something I'm missing, it appears there's an issue with the gateway itself, which would means it's completely up to GoG to fix it, if they even bother to. I highly doubt they have any staff who are regularly checking in on it.

The old gateways for the cd-rom copy (US West/East, Europe, Asia) still accept the Diablo 1 client, so you can log into those if you have the original copy of the game.

Can anyone from GOG assure us that this is getting looked into?
Is anyone from GOG looking in to this issue?
I've exactly the same problem, I submitted a support ticket, now GOG has to take action!

Same problem here!

I asked GOG, they gave me a non-answer. They said to ask Blizzard, yet Blizzard does not have the option to run a traceroute with Diablo 1, it doesn't list the IP address under classic games. Where is the Global Gateway for Diablo 1?

Here is the non helpful answer from GOG:

I received a non-answer from GOG:

Thank you for providing more information.
In case you encounter issue when using Battle.net functionality we recommend that you contact the official support for the game:
Classic Games > Technical

You will have the option of filing a web ticket, or (depending on time of day and region) you might be able to request a phone callback or live chat support to get assisted with your issues.
You also have the option to 'Ask the Community' by using the forum link below:

A common error that you might encounter indicates game ports 6112-6119 being closed:

Your Internet connection is either very poor or is not processing UDP packets through port 6112. You will be able to chat but will not be able to play games. Contact your internet service provider or your system administrator for assistance with opening this port.

- Connect to the battle.net server. Login to your account.
- If you have a particular friend in mind, you can direct message that person via /w. If you just want to make friends, hang out in a chat channel and talk to people.
- Once you have a friend, one person hosts a game and the other(s) join.

sooo? any news only bought this yesterday dont realy wanna return it immediatly haha
So = How's it going ?
Can i refound my money ? I bought the game due the fact i wanted to play online..

Sad.
GOG's policy permits returns within a limited time if the game is unusable or if you have not downloaded it. Inability to use the matchmaking service probably won't be accepted as "unusable."

If you have not yet downloaded the game, wait to do that until either the refund window expires or the matchmaking service becomes operational. If you have downloaded the game, then verify that the matchmaking service fails for you and, if it does, contact GOG Support. They need to understand that this is a widespread problem and that users care about seeing it fixed.
