Hello, memberso f the Diablo modding community reported that the GOG version brings back a problem patched in the 1.09, the generation of maps that cannot be completed(you face walls).

Did GOG figure how to fix this bug? Do yo still have it?
GoG dint change the game, it's the 1.09 exe with nocd hacks and network and directx wrapper dlls.

The broken levels exist in all versions of diablo, we might look in to it in devilutionx.

Oh so you are the person working on Devilution? I was looking for ods but read Tchernobog ad Belzebug projects were basically abandoned so glad to see devlution is going on.

To be exact the person who said this stated that Somehow bugs from original release(1.0 basically) had been brought back on GoG version, must be a mistake.

Bugs from 1.0 that were never fixed are still present, since GOG did not make any detailed effort to improve the game beyond what v1.09 provides. However, bugs fixed in patches released by Blizzard (v1.01 through v1.09) should remain fixed here. There is a comprehensive list of user visible bugs that are still present in v1.09 (and thus in the GOG version). It was originally created by regulars of the Diablo Strategy Forum, back when that existed on the battle.net forums. It still bears that name, though its hosting has moved a few times and it has some additions that were made after the Diablo Strategy Forum was closed.

It can be found, among other places, at http://www.lurkerlounge.com/forums/thread-12422.html.
