Same Problem here. No text in dialogs and audio menu options not visible.

openSUSE 42.2, newest version installed. Get a xrandr version 1.5 warning but thats all I can see on the terminal.

Any suggestions? Will Dex still get bugfixes?

Unfortunately, some Linux distributions do these errors.
A System is coupled with the hardware. :(

Dex has been working fine for me on Arch Linux since November last year. So someone could try Ubuntu 17.04 and see if it works there. OpenSUSE's rolling release distribution Thumbleweed should also have the most recent library versions and be worth a try.
