Massive spoilers.

I didnt realize you could save your brother. I was actually reading the wiki for Invisible War. I plan on playing it. However itmentions him in the second game. Which makes me think its cannon that he lives. :/

Kinda jarring. My question is, are you supposed to save him? Im at the cathedral and I feel silly. I mean I looked at his corpse, and I had immersion feelings and stuff. Its gonna be wierd to see him in the next game. :(

Well, in my case I didn't know you could left him to die. My game seem to had been bugged because after left his apartment the ceiling didn't had helicopter and I had to return to him.

Technically, as him is still living in the second part, yes, the cannon say you saved him.
Just don't leave through the window when he asks you to.

Don't worry about it. There are some minor interaction changes but you won't miss out on anything in the plot. There are dozens of other small decisions you've made during the course of the game without realising that have larger implications.

Or even after the shootout. Many of us have been bitten by that: we helped him fight off the attackers, but because we then went through the window the game acted as though we'd abandoned him in the first place.

I was also stung by going through the window and then finding him on the slab haha. I plan on definitely hanging around on my next playthrough!
Even if Paul died, you can get him to show up later in your game by not acquiring his datavault and just exiting the MJ12 compound by remembering the exit code from a previous game. Nearly every keypad in the game is fully active as soon as you have a chance to use it; the sole exception is the entry keypad for the Luminous Path compound next to Wan Chai Market.
Again a spoiler warning, but for those of you who have completed the game (and DX HR also) have a look at this site for fun things to do. ;)
