An interesting project:

I saw that one, actually. I like the idea, but I'm waiting for a version with unscaled UI.
That unified mod looks mighty interesting. Unfortunately it seems to be an ongoing project so I'll wait until it seems to be relatively finished before I try it.
Here's an interesting one that's close to being finished:

Are there any mods that just allow you to up the resolution for modern monitors?

Kentie's Launcher allows you to set any resolution you want, and also includes the option to automatically adjust the field of view for various aspect ratios.
Is the v2 fan patch supposed to be on google? Just seems bizarre.

You mean code.google.com? That's not bizarre, Google hosts some projects the same way as Sourceforge or Github do. Don't worry, the link on the first page of the topic is legit. ;)
Do any of these mods fix the noisy camera issue? I'm assuming they're not supposed to be that noisy.
For the sake of saving a few people some precious gaming time (Life is short!) I want to say that I do not recommend "the nameless mod". I played it for about 3 - 4 hours trying to get used to all its oddities and then it started to seem like the entire plot of the mission is a big inside joke talking about the social lives of the people who made the mod. It was funny occasionaly, but to me it didn't have the #1 appeal of the original Deus Ex, a very serious and intellectual story. Plus the maps are too big and you spend way too much time hiking around. Download one of GOG's other great RPGs instead.

The Nameless Mod is definitely a more light-hearted take on the genre, and the humor can be niche, but I personally really enjoyed it. I was never a part of the community it represents, but I still found myself enjoying the jokes.
I could not believe my luck when I saw Deus Ex for $4.99 (as converted to UK moneys) and simply had to have it. It still ranks as one of my top two games of all time, the other being Baldur's Gate.

I was just wondering if installing Deus Ex GOTY - the GOG version of course - and then applying the New Vision mod would provide a stable version to run on Windows 7 as launched via Steam. I like to know when friends come online or shoot me a message.

I also picked up the sequel - Invisible War - as I never played it. I'm going in with low expectations for that one.
Burden of 80 Proof is one of my favorite mods.
It is a unique little total conversion. It doesn't have skills or augmentations. There is no combat. Just conversations, doing favors for people, searching for items, and a little bit of stealth and sneaking. It has full voice acting and original music. It takes about an hour or two to finish.
Here is a description from the official website.

Overview:
You take on the role of Peter Kent: gallant gamer, put-upon party-goer, ersatz errand boy, suburban swashbuckler.

Navigate a middle-class morass of whiny girlfriends, surly cops, slippery coworkers, surly bartenders, surly bosses, and more.

Your mission: procure an ever-growing list of supplies to ensure an appropriately inappropriate weekend of drinking, revelry, and what have you.

Features:

-All new, entirely original script (over 13,000 words)
-18 new characters, 6 new levels, new sounds, models, textures and more, plus clever re-use of existing Deus Ex stuff (or "assets")
-A non-dark-and-dystopian vision of the future
-Awesome, old-schooly music brings luscious memories of past gaming goodness back into the now
-Robots
-Multiple solutions to problems and a world responsive to your choices, in the true spirit of Deus Ex

Is there a mod that ONLY reverts the Dragon's Tooth to 20 damage as upon release instead of the balance breaking 100 damage as per the latest patch? I'm probably going to drop the sword in my next playthrough anyways as I always thought it was strange from a story perspective that you get to keep it, but should I change my mind when I actually get there I don't want it to dominate the rest of the game.
