tarangwydion: So I am a little bit confused now. If I just want bug fixes but WITHOUT any gameplay changes, WITHOUT textures changes, etc., which mod should I apply? EDIT: I assume the answer is probably Deus Ex v2.0?
Correct. That or Human Renovation.
Thanks! :-)
I have never touched the first Deus Ex before and I am very soon going to change that. But before I do are there any mods here that should be installed for first time playthrough? Like graphics or bug fixes etc.
If it's your first time through, I suggest Deus Ex 2.0; it's not the most complete bug-fixing mod, but it doesn't change any of the gameplay either. Also, use kentie's Deus Ex launcher since it fixes some problems with higher resolutions/widescreen setups/newer processors. Use his DirectX 10 renderer as well if you want, I guess.

Thanks went and got them all installed ready for my playthrough.
Next version of the New Vision Deus Ex texture mod is up:

How do i install Deus Ex 2.0 or the UI fix?
Played through this a couple of times and never even bothered looking for mods, glad I found them. Decided to play with Deus Ex Enhanced 2, Shifter, New Visions, as well as Kentie's Launcher. The problem is even though I selected to scale the GUI, it's completely illegible. I can only see a corner of the portraits as people speak, text is completely corrupt, even the tool belt on the bottom is useless. I tried 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 and it looks the same.
Kentie's site appears to be down at the moment; does anyone know of any working mirrors for his files?

The Nameless Mod is a fantastic game. Most of the more esoteric/inside jokes are still funny even without knowing the context. See Richard Cobbett's review for PC Gamer: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/08/20/saturday-crapshoot-the-nameless-mod/
Ok, I'll give it a shot.

Btw I always remembered fondly playing Deus Ex but never picked it up here on GOG, as I thought it would feel too dated nowadays. Nevertheless after buying and playing SS2 and enjoying it thoroughly I bought Deus Ex as well and after installing all the mods and improvements I can just say - holy schmooze! This looks fantastic! So much work and love poured into those mods...incredible.
Installing mods for this game has been a pain in the butt for me re-installing a third time >.< and leaving out Deus ex enhanced just makes the menu too big and I don't get any of the updated icons :/

(I know I'm doing something wrong with it just don't know what )

Just a heads up for kaspersky anti-virus users it will detect the Gammareset.exe as a threat

Mine did and started to nuke my pc :/ going after a bunch of safe files like the pst widescreen file etc

Any basic mod list? I'm not really too turned on by the Shifter mod as it seems like it could create a lot of problems with certain enemy on NPC interactions. I have Kenta's DE.exe (since that was the only way I got it to work before the GOG version). Other than that, any suggestions?
