There are a couple you might want to add to the list. Warning: Some shameless promotion ahead.

http://code.google.com/p/deusexv2/
Deus Ex 2.0, a fan-made bugfix patch with (as far as I know) no real gameplay changes. This might be important to note, since it's the only pure "patch" sort of mod that I know exists. This doesn't seem to have a readme on its own site, but a list of changes can be found here: http://offtopicproductions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=10132

http://code.google.com/p/deus-ex-human-renovation/
And here's Human Renovation, my offshoot of the above, combining those fixes with some fixes from Shifter, a bunch of my own, and some (generally minor) balance adjustments. A few gameplay changes, but only in terms of adjusting balance issues, redeeming some useless augs/skills in a lightweight fashion, and that sort of thing, so it's basically halfway between a patch and a mod. A comprehensive readme is available at the link.

In the near future I might be integrating my own fixes into Deus Ex 2.0 itself, which would effectively turn it into a "lite"/patch-only version of my own mod.

EDIT: Thanks for adding the links. Much appreciated!

Hi

Project HDTP hasN't been updated in years. Is it abandoned or is there another site that has a more recent version?
Their forum at Off Topic Productions indicates that they're still making progress, but not announcing it or releasing updates.
One of the endgame cutscenes in the GOTY edition has an error. Some of the elements are missing, which makes for an odd scene. To fix, simply replace the corrupt 99_endgame1.dx map file and replace it with the patched retail version 1112fm. I have included it here.

https://sites.google.com/site/captainjorge/99_Endgame1.dx?attredirects=0&d=1

Copy file to C:\[DeusEx GOG Install Folder]\Maps
This will replace the old 99_endgame1.dx

[SPOILER ALERT]
More details on fix below....ending spoilers ahead

More details. In 'Tong's Ending', right as JC is exiting the reactor room, the two giant antimatter reactors are missing, and the lighting is all off. Especially weird as you can see the electricity arcing off of nothing, where the reactors should be. See screenshot:

I tested the fix by taking the map file from the retail version and dropping it in my GOG GOTY install. Works like a charm, the scene is restored. See screenshot:

My UI is so small I can't even read how much ammo I have left. All I have installed is New Visions. Any advice?

What resolution do you use? Installing the UI Size Fix, which I linked in the opening post, should solve that problem no matter what resolution you're on.
1600x900
I installed the ui fix and it didn't change.
I run at 1280x800 and the UI is fine for me. I use Kentie's launcher, and Deus Ex Enhanced v1.3.) Try lowering the resolution, see if that does anything. You might also try asking at the Off Topic Productions forums. (http://www.offtopicproductions.com/forum/)
The mod installation guide link isn't working for me. What happened?

The link became invalid when this forum was renamed "Deus Ex series." I'll fix it.
I've tried all the other resolutions and the UI is still the same size. If I could read it, I wouldn't mind but it's very very small.
Does the BioMod mod also fix that level background music?

And I've never played Dues Ex...should I play it vanilla first, or just start with BioMod?

Thanks!

BioMod is based on Shifter, so yes, it will fix it.

As for using mods first, the consensus I generally see is that your first playthrough should NOT use gameplay mods. I would recommend HDTP, New Vision, an updated renderer, Deus Ex Enhanced, and Kentie's launcher to bring the game closer to modern spec.

EDIT: If you DO decide to go with BioMod first, be warned: apparently, Lork decreased your maximum default jump height, to make the Athletics skill (which is Swimming in vanilla or Shifter) worth taking; this causes problems in Mission 2 if you sneak across the rooftops, because you may find yourself stuck unable to clear ledges that are just too high to jump.

So now I'm debating between BioMod and Human Renovation. Thoughts?

Also thanks for the info!

I would go with Human Renovation, since it's more patch-oriented. Save the mods which affect gameplay for subsequent playthroughs.
