just get the regular game the deluxe edition in no way gives anything useful really in terms of gameplay. Gameplay is pretty basic anyway not even relatable to the better previous game. Story info? background? some 1 use items you can only use for 1 playthrough, its just a bad release that isn't worth the money.

Whoops, sorry. I did not realize it would take this long to get an answer. I went with the Standard Edition, and I think I'm about to reach the end of the game. It is disappointing to get bottlenecked into cutscenes mid mission so that other characters can be introduced. Especially frustrating with one of them whom I immediately knew was gonna be trouble and wanted to take on preemptively on my own terms. I know the ohgee game made key characters immortal, but that was over twenty (20) years ago, and it was still fun antagonizing them.

You might as well have bought the Deluxe since it's one $1 more expensive :p. The Criminal Past DLC is pretty nice, System Rift was boring though, not a fan of that one.

I usually don't get around to playing DLC since the main game ends up being more than enough for me, and at over one hundred and fifty percent of the base cost it's hard for me to justify it, especially considering other titles I could buy with that amount of money. Anyway, you got a nice Akella drawing.
