Hey all,

Although I own deus ex - mankind divided already via steam I recently bought the game on gog to support the devs and Gog.
However, contrary to the steam version, I always get the error "Installation failed (e4)" when installing the game. This error doesn`t happen with the steam version.
I have 170 GB of free space so that cannot be the problem...

Did anyone experience the same problem or does anyone have a workaround for this ?

THanks in advance,
M.
I'm testing it now, that error usually stems from a UAC dialog being ignored or missed on install... it can also happen if you use an old Galaxy client to install the game. The 3rd and more rare way is installing on the same drive the downloaded files exist on.

How are you installing the game?
Its getting more and more strange.....

I installed it on my other pc with gog..... everything works fine...... I installed Deus Ex mD using Steam on my laptop... it also works....

However I cannot install it on my laptop using the GoG version.... anyone has any ideas ?

Did you use the "Check file integrity before installation" option when installing? One of your downloaded files may be broken?
I Made a Clean Install of Galaxy, downloaden deus ex mankind Dividend onto my stationary PC with gog.... Everything worked fine... I copied my deus mankind folder onto my Laptop an tried to import the folder.... Still i get that stupid Error.,.

ITS really weird
OK I solved the issue:

I read somewhere that due to a new windows update the folder clearances for the .../programs(X86)/.... folder have been modified and thus gog galaxy has issues with updating or installing games......and lead to the error E4 Installation failed in gog.

As my galaxy client had been installed under program files (X86) ... I deinstalled it, and reinstalled gog galaxy in the root archive c:\gog Galaxy .... and gave the folder full write rights and clearance.... and voila now it works.....

Maybe this can help someone who had the same problem....
