If anyone is experiencing a crash on the last level of the game with this error(see attached file) I recommend following what this person on the steam forums did to fix it:

Quite simply don't use gas grenades on the bridge to clear the enemies as doing so seems to cause the crash.

Im posting this here because it seems like not many people have figured out how to fix this issue. This worked for me but I don't know about everyone else.

Thank you for this. It worked for me. I was using grenades and having the crash. Couldnt understand why as I had played through it years ago w no problems but I never used grenades on that playthrough. As soon as I went with other methods for clearing the bridge it let me through.
