styggron: So long as they fix it and it is not an excuse to force people onto galaxy because they are no longer supporting the GoG downloader. I think we will be ok.
They just need to fix a hiccup.
Lets hope they fix it soon.
If anyone gets it successfully, please report here so we all know. Thanks everyone :)
i don't use Galaxy;
the file seems ok if you download through the browser , if you place the downloaded file in the directory used by the downloader , as i mentionned it's still doesnt work ; the log says download incomplete and restart from scratch , and can't be downloaded .... with the downloader....)
Now if the file isn't properly downloaded with Galaxy (mentionned by Coldy) the downloader has nothing to do with this issue....
I tested different games recently updated and DEFCN is the only game which causing an issue (if you exclude to download through the browser)
Furthermore : the game file size changed and the problem is still there.
I'm unable to open a ticket :/ (so i can only pm some staff members).
Seriously GOG, your service is getting worse & worse.
SirPrimalform: You still have the choice to use the downloader, it's just not supported any more so as issues like this crop up they won't be fixing them. Just as you had the choice between downloader and browser before, you now have a choice between Galaxy and browser (and of course the aforementioned unsupported choice to use the downloader).
Not trying to persuade you to use Galaxy, but you have as many choices as you have always had.
i know the downloader is no more suported , but the client is STILL in beta, in my POV the downloader should be "supported" till the client is no more in beta (by supported i mean the downloader links , nothing more).
After that, still in my POV, GOG should tell to the users which ain't fond of a client which downloader manager (third party one) should work there (i know one which work) and provide checksums files (that's the minimum to do).
