For some reason I simply do not get any achievements for this game. At first I thought it might be the network / setup I was using. I got a couple of Battletech achievements but then I went on holiday and am using someone else's wifi so maybe it was an untrusted network thing or a firewall thing, but I started up another game (Gibbous) and got a couple of achievements there after playing DSD and not being able to get a single achievement, and this was using the same wifi / network setup.

I've put in about 40 hours over the last week or so, and after 20 hours I thought "that's odd, I haven't noticed an achievement pop." So I went and checked and there are a few that should have completed, but my progress says I've not completed any.

I've even tried starting a new game on a separate save and heading straight to the bar to dismiss a crew member and hire a mercenary (which should be 2 different achievements from what I can tell from the list) and: nothing.

Any ideas? Like I say, I've had achievements before I started this game, and I've had achievement since as soon as I tried another game. It just seems to be DSD that doesn't pop any. Judging by the descriptions I should have about 10.

None for me either. There was an option for ironman / normal (or whatever) when starting a new game, which one did you choose? I'm playing on normal...

One thing I thought of: I'm using the galaxy 2 beta... i wonder if it's that?
