I have bought Deathtrap Dungeon today and i have sound effects but no music! :(

Music is fix witch the English Hotfix but not with the French one.... can you make something for this?

Edit:
Have also try German and Italian Hotfix, no music. Hotfix working only with English version.

Now in 2022 the French version still doesn't playback music.

I'll play the English one instead but that's a pity, how can we report a bug ?

Installer Deathtrap Dungeon en Français.
Récupérer les dossiers MENU et MOVIES (Deathtrap Dungeon\ASYLUM\MENU et Deathtrap Dungeon\ASYLUM\MOVIES)
Récupérer le fichier DUNGEON.DLL (Deathtrap Dungeon\DUNGEON.DLL)
Copier ces éléments dans un dossier quelconque.

=>
Patcher le jeu en Anglais (Dans GOG Galaxy, paramètres du jeu\Gérer l'installation\configurer\langue "English")

=>
Ecraser les fichiers nouvellement installés avec ceux que vous avez récupéré lors de l'installation en Français.

Launch the game ;)

J'ai testé ta méthode et effectivement c'est mieux.
Par contre j'ai fait juste un peu le début du jeu et j'ai pas pu tester les voix, je suppose qu'elles restent en anglais ?
Enfin c'est déjà un point de départ, merci.

I tested it on the Italian version of the game and the music seems to work. This is what I did:

Extended version:
1. Install the English version of the game.
2. Save the MSS32.DLL file present in the game folder in a temporary folder.
3. Uninstall the English version of the game.
4. Install the non-English version of the game that's right for you.
5. Copy the previously saved MSS32.DLL file to the game folder.

Short version:
1. Overwrite the MSS32.DLL file of the non-English version with that of the English version.

Unfortunately, I can't directly upload this file but, if the procedure works, I'm sure there will be someone who will.

The only thing I can tell you is: try it and see if it works for you too.

If this works, I also hope that GOG.com releases UPDATED installers for all languages accordingly.

It does work for the French version too !

Oh, nothing special, really.

Starting from the assumption that the English version worked fine while the Italian one didn't, I simply compared the files based on the CRCs, eliminating those with identical CRCs as a first step. Then I moved on to eliminating those relating to the language and so on. Of the few remaining files, I simply grabbed the one remaining DLL and ran the test...

No hex checks, no code changes, a simple copy-and-paste of one of a few different files (and usually are the DLL files that do the "dirty work").

Well it might not have been so hard, but thanks all the same. Good thing I haven't played it yet.
