Hi,

as you may have noticed the resolution is set to only 720p and there is no option to change it.

So now I found this:
http://neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=87977747&postcount=283

It seems like the community, especially Durante, has to do the job. It's the same situation it was with Dark Souls.

The game is a really poor port if you think about it, that even the community can fix that in less than 1 hour and 19 minutes after release.

Durante has now made an alpha release (0.1) of his resolution fix available here:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=87990805&postcount=458

Already you can successfully specify resolutions other than 720p, and it appears you can change key bindings, but the fix hasn't seen much testing so it may or may not cause gameplay problems.

As far as I know, it hasn't been tested with the GOG version yet, only with the Steam release. (I haven't purchased it quite yet, otherwise I'd try it.)

I tested it with the GOG version and can confirm that it works.

Now someone has to do something against the long loading times.

Why do these lazy devs release a port like this that is clearly a troll attempt?

I really wanted to try this game but I can't give money to such people.

Get the 360 one instead then, it's put out by ignition instead of rising star
Have anybody figured out '# Available Actions:'? :) I'm dying to switch movement to arrows :)

It's the same problem which we had with Dark Souls. I don't know why the developers were not able to make it more compatible with the pc. There was also such a resolution issue which was fixed by the community. But if you are able to overlook some flaws, you get a really good game. Deadly Premonition is a game Alan Wake should have been (with an open world and maybe with less flaws).

Sorry, but I don't have a 360 and I have no interest in buying one.

It was their first PC game, same case as this game.
This fan made patch (by Durante from the Neogaf forum), is called DPFix and is now at its 0.5 version. It looks really good.
This is a link to the related blog post:

Durante also mentions that Rising Star Games have been in contact with him, so perhaps he is going to help making an official patch too.

Long loading times? Even though my PC is pretty terrible, it loads just fine for me - that's with the new path however, so it should be much better for you now
