Is there a big difference between the DC version and the
original version?

If there is, it would be nice to see both on GOG..
...the completionist in me wants to collect
them all!

The difference is really just the price

The original version is the Xbox360 one. There is no "original" version for the PC. The Director's Cut is the only version for the PC.

As far as I know, the main differences are that the DC has some visual improvements (textures), some game control tweaks (how driving the car handles, better controls for combat sequences etc) and a few additional cut-scenes.

Yeah, the most notable difference is that the director's cut eschews the tank controls from the original. (In other words, in this version left and right make the character move to the left and right, rather than just turn to the left and right)
Plus goofy costumes (which I assume are for a previously missing new game+ mode?), and new episodes. Has anyone played with all the new content yet? I'm wondering if the new stuff feels right or tacked on. I'm just barely over the minimum specs so I'll have to wait a while to get this, but I've gotten 100% on the xbox version.
I think the new cut scenes are the major difference in terms of narrative additions. Someone who's played both versions will have to chime in as to whether there are new textures.

I went ahead and bought this during the holiday sales, just in the opening cutscene you can see a big difference in the models. Though not until the twins find Anna, on the 360 she looks fake, well everything does. This version actually made me kinda wince though.

Also some new suits give enhanced health/damage/etc. and you can buy a house! Seems cool to imagine retiring in Greenvale after all this.

The new cut scenes are the biggest difference. They add a new master narative to the plot, slightly changing the overall mood of the game, especially in the end.

Actually the house is already there :) There is no quest to get it.
What? Ok, that's pretty confusing since you end up with absurd amounts of cash after paying off your car. I thought it was actually a good idea to have something expensive to work toward. Not a big deal I guess, but kinda disappointing, and odd there's just an open house waiting for him. :P

I'm glad to hear the new content fits though, the opening made me wonder if it was going to be completely tacked-on or something Swery actually wanted in there originally.

Lack of infinite food supply makes the house pretty useless. I used back of the gallery for all my sleeping needs :)
