Problem is with a lot of "dead souls". I faced this crash only when died a lot in different places having souls.Seems, game doesn't work with it well in RAM, so, after 20+ fails in battle, it's better, to restart the game to clear you RAM.

Did that and it didn't help...But I am running MSI afterburner..Maybe there is a compatibility issue with the game..I'll disable it for this game and report back..
Disabling MSI Afterburner didn't help.It is clearly an in game issue.I am a fan of the Darksiders series so I'll stick with it but I am moving on for now till the devs fix it.
Ok...Upgraded nvidia drivers to latest version.417.01...So far so good...0 crashes in 1 hour of gameplay in the Hollows

Devs said about patch coming today/tomorrow. May be it will also increase stability for those who have same problems.

Unfortunately, I upgraded to the latest drivers the other day but still got the same crash after installing them.
i had a myriad of troubles - even with the support team and as on the brink of just leaving the game to rot.

installed a fresh windows, etc etc.

what in the end fixed my woes with the game was simply reverting to the default CPU clock. i usually run overclocked all day and crashed from hollows onward every 3rd step, spider webs needed to be torn down with fire usually reproduced a crash right away so you might look into that.
