I brought the game darksiders 1 and I was going to download it in order to play but notice that it contains 4 parts to download:

DARKSIDERS (PART 1 OF 4) 33 MB
DARKSIDERS (PART 2 OF 4) 3.9 GB
DARKSIDERS (PART 3 OF 4) 3.9 GB
DARKSIDERS (PART 4 OF 4) 1.8 GB

So I download the files all together and set them all to open, but unfortunately windows couldn't find or open all the files so click yes something about find the file which this appeared on all of them:

This didn't help so I went to my downloads which I found the files the problem is that I can't figure what files to put in the darksiders folder in order to play the game and I'm not sure doing that will work but here is the list:

setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6 (1).exe

setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6 (2).exe

setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6.exe

setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6-1.bin

setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6-2.bin

Thanks, but I want to make sure I have this right:

1. Take the all the files that was listed from download and create a separate folder which I do not put it in gog.com/darksiders folder?

2. Delete files: setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6 (1).exe, setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6 (2).exe and setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6-3.bin (1).bin from download folder (to free up space if required and won't brake game)?

3. Go back to the separate main folder that was created and right click to run setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6.exe? Thanks this feature looks interesting, but I do have a couple questions:

1. Now judging what I read this feature automatically downloads game files on to gog? Now if decide to go this route should I delete the the download files that are already in my download folder before running it?

2. After download can I switch it off anytime and still keep updates that were added to the game or is there a limit?

Hi, Agraz.

Just make sure the four files Thiev mentioned are in the same folder. Then run the .exe file and it will install the game. On larger games like Darksiders, the installer will allow you to check the file integrity to make sure the files downloaded correctly. GOG Galaxy is a completely optional client. I've been using it since the Alpha (and parts of it since the AvP 2000 Beta) and it's pretty nice.

If you install the files you have already downloaded, and then install GOG Galaxy, it will pick up the game already on your system. The client can be set to run with Windows, or run whenever you want. It can also be shut down at any time, or even uninstalled.

One great thing about GOG is once you buy a game, it's yours. If you decide to switch off Galaxy or uninstall it, you don't lose access to your games, and they can still be downloaded at any time through the website. I keep a backup of all my installers since I have lousy internet speeds, so I'd rather only download something once, heh.

I don't know why but for some reason I'm not seeing my original post nor my original reply so I'm making a new one base off of my memory. Ok base off what I'm reading you're telling me take the files that are listed in the reply create a new separate main folder to put the files in and right click setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6.exe which I would click run to start the installation? And any files other than the ones listed in the reply can be deleted which includes setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6 (1).exe, setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6 (2).exe, setup_darksiders_2.0.0.6-3 (1).bin?

Not sure if you can see this, but I wanted mark both your thread along with Firek thread as both solutions which that is what I thought I could do.
