It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Emerald.820: Feature suggestion: watch for the hair color change bug, and if it occurs, save a snapshot of the memory before/after it happened. I'm sure writing something like that is easier said than done (storing two copies of the game's memory and continually rewriting the old one, unless you do something like write copy #0, then copy #1, then update #0, then #1, etc.)

Anyways, just a feature suggestion. Unsure if it'd help solve the bug at all, but worth a shot!
Thanks for suggestion! Latest version supports editing the character colors and I think hair color is among them. I don't have save game which would have this hair color bug but I wonder would it be possible to change the color back to the original with save game editor?

i have found this handy looking tool recently but it won't run.
though it seems to have been 2 years since last update.

i have tried to contact to illusium from Codeplex but it didn't allow it.
Anyone saved the binaries for this? CodePlex got shut down and I cannot find them in the archive site

Thank you, +1!
Is it still possible to get this utility working? If so, how?

It should still work.

You can download it from
https://github.com/illusium77/darklandscompanion

Click on the green button -> download zip

Extract that zip file somewhere, inside it should be another zip file "Darklands Editor - v0.8.zip". That's the application.

Oh excellent, thank you!

One question for you, if you're the writer of this app -- there's a sneaky bug in this game that killed my last big playthrough; St. Polycarp and Firewall potions bug characters out, making them functionally immune to all damage, not just fire damage, forever. It occurs to me that a save file editor might be able to "Fix" this by somehow resetting character invulnerability to baseline. Is that something you could take a look at if you have time?

Thanks again!
