Hello everyone!

I've faced an issue since the quite problematic release of Color of Madness.

Indeed, in the beginning of the game, some texts appear telling me that "Bark sounds not found" (for exemple), or that some trinkets are not found.

Later in the game, when my heroes gain some trinkets, there is an error message where I should see the trinket's description and effect.

I've repaired/reinstalled the games twice now, and this issue still seems to be here.

Any help is welcome, if somebody else had this problem before. :)

Do you play English version of the game? I've heard about some problems with other language versions (like missing texts etc) that can cause such issues like yours.

As a French guy, i play with the French version. :)

Maybe my issue is related to that fact indeed...

Same problem in Polish version.

Yeah, that's what I thought. ;) Darkest Dungeon does not require any reinstallation to change language so If you know English then you can temporarily turn it on to test. As I said above - If you know English then you can temporarily turn it on to see if these bugs happens again. Another thing - what is your game version right now? I'm asking this because: This last fix can also be important for you. :)

I'm currently onto the last version of the game... :/

So maybe it's just a "normal" bug quite spread within the non-English players. Hope it will be soon fixed!

*last GOG version

Last version is 23898 and I can't see it on GOG, yet. It was released a few hours ago. Hehe, "good" is not enough, this is one of the top games I've played. :D

It seems like you (we) need patch 23917 to be on GOG.

Hey! My current version of the game is 23886. So if the next one will add the missing texts, it would be good! :)

There is 23904 now on GOG, but I can't find this number on Steam patches list so do not know what's fixed.

Has patch 23904 fixed your issues?

Me too, GOG patch 23904, still French descriptions missing...

So I guess the last thing we can do is to be patient! :)
