The order shows clearly that I bought both DLSs.
Yet I cannot install them nor does Galaxy install them on its own

what is wrong here? Why do you have such problems with 2 simple DLCs?

Simple fix is to go to GoG.com website log in and dowload the offline patches. Just pick Darkest Dungeon from you account and under the Download Offline option will see all the files. Only take a minute just 2 of them and the larger one is just 599Mb.

Does that mean that you can install the offlline/standalone files onto a Galaxy game? Doesn't this cause some issues? I've been pondering if I should try that, but I'd rather try for an official fix.

It shouldn't cause any issues as what you are dowloading is a installer provided by GoG for the DLC.

Thank you for your fix, I had the same issue...

Alright, thanks. I'll try it.

Edit: Couldn't install them, said "Base game not detected". I guess I have to download the whole standalone game and install it since the Galaxy version seems to be different.

I had installed the base game via Galaxy earlier and didn't get that issue. Did you perhaps uninstall the game previously trying to get Galaxy to update it? Just spitballing the problem. Eitherway hope it gets running for you and thankfully the downloads for everything are pretty small.
You can download it from the GOG website, in theory running the .exe will get it installed and running

Edit:
Just noticed someones already mentioned this

I have the same issue as well. Thank you all for the solution to this problem. It kind of sucks that we just can't download the DLC through GOG Galaxy though.
For people googling: In GOG Galaxy, on the main game page, under 'INSTALLED"(to the right of PLAY and MORE), you'll see the patch number(if applicable) and then a link saying how many DLCs are installed. Click the link and you can select which DLCs to install.
