Is there really no music in the game?
I can't get any music to play ANYWHERE in the game, and i seem to remember there being a great soundtrack playing throughout.

Edit: Ok, i feel a little silly about this. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, for the third time i might add, and the music works fine. When i apply patch 1.7 the music disappears though.

Game trys to get the music from the non-existent game CD. Only solution is to play with no patch 1.7 installed. Or wait for fixed version. I'll try to contact the community which developed the patch.

Edit: Oh well, there should be a way to fix the issue: burn an AUDIO cd with the soundtrack on it (location: *DR ROOT FOLDER*\Sounds) and have it in your drive while playing.

Ok thanks. But i think I'll rather wait for a fix. I reainstalled the game ONE MORE TIME, and to my surprise everything works. The colors, the music AND both the main and the expansion. Strange.. Fourth times the charm I guess.

Can you explain the process with the Fourth install that fixed the issue? IF you could in detail I would appreciate it. Did you use the community patch to get the music working ingame?

I did NOT use the community patch. It's not compatible. But, that doesn't bother me.
I ran the GOGsetup "as administrator". After the install was finished i restarted the PC and ran the game "as administrator". Works like a charm.
Thank You.
I dunno if I am wrong or right, but I though that I might add another post regarding this ''NO MUSIC'' issue.

As Ive tried all the above and it didn't work for me to get my music playback working (EVEN the music adjuster slider wasn't present in the IN-game options menu at all).

What I realized was that my laptop didn't have a CD/DVD drive. So I believe this FIX would work on any DRIVE-LESS laptop /Net-Book. All you need to do is to install VIRTUAL drive to your computer, DAEMONTOOLS or MAGIC ISO or other. After adding at least 1 virtual drive music slider /adjuster should be back in game options menu and the music too :)
