Or would I have to wait for more episodes if I want to see how the story ends? I am asking, because the "Season One" part makes me wonder.

I really don't care if this is on sale or not, I will definitely never again buy a game that has no finished story.

The season ends with a cliffhanger. Development of the next season was dependent on the games' sales, but I haven't heard any news of a new season being developed. =\
It's a shame, not only because of the lack of closure, but because the game has a unique theme, a quirky sense of humor, and interesting characters and story.

SCPM: Helpful stuff
Sorry for the late reply, somehow your comment slipped under my radar.

Well, that is a shame to hear, the game itself really looks interesting and kind of fresh. But no completed story definitely means that I will not buy the game. I am a sucker for stories, I can even live with flawed gameplay (to a point), as long as the story keeps me interested.

What you mention here about the development, that the devs said they will conclude the story in part 2, if part 1 sells well, seems kind of stupid to me. Not knowing if part 2 will be ever released and thus not knowing if I will ever get the full story would be keep me from buying part 1 in the first place. Which will then deminish my chances to get a 2nd part...
I agree, it's an odd situation. And I think they'd need something in the order of tens of thousands more full priced copies sold before we'd see a new season developed. =\
