Well... If you want Cyberpunk 2077 with DRM which is STEAM, then it is up to you. I choose DRM free option anytime I can.
Honestly, as a Steam member, i would rather purchase Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG because CDPR owns this platform and you can get more contents out of this. It is DRM free and less laggy compared to Steam: can play offline without internet connections and without interference while playiing.

feralstripes: Hello, I just wanted to say Thank-you "CD PROJEKT RED" for selling Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam, I'm not of fan of using GoG & I prefer using Steam as my main online gaming platform on PC. I just wanted to say: I support how "consumer friendly" your company is, & I just pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam. Thankyou for giving the consumer a choice & allowing them to purchase on their preferred online platform. I noticed a new trend with "Epic Game Store" being "Anti-consumer" & locking down certain games as [Epic game store exclusives], I'm glad to see you are on the consumers side.

I went ahead & suggested too my friends to also pre-order Cyberpunk 2077, I can't wait for the game to be released, please take your time, there is no rush. I would prefer to have the game 100% finished out of the gate, again thank you for everything, keep up the great work! =^_^=
Mate no offence but we genuinely do not care. If you prefer Steam, go get it there. It's your money. Doesn't change the fact buying the game on GOG is objectively better. First, you support the devs (on Steam, they have to pay a 30% cut). Second, you get extra goodies. Third, you can download offline installers for the game, if you are into that (i personally prefer Galaxy).

Actually Steam itself is not DRM. DRM is available but not required to be used, even if a game supports other API features. Final Fantasy X is one of several examples of high-profile DRM-free Steam games that can run even if Steam isn't there. Some will try to run Steam if it's detected but will run fine without it if it's not found, too. Final Fantasy XIV has a really strange system in which its game data is totally identical for the Steam and non-Steam versions, but the launcher checks for different product registrations when logging in depending on whether it was launched through Steam.

Obviously buying here supports the developer directly. I'm not sure if CD Projekt Red implements Steam's DRM for its titles sold on the platform. It's not a requirement though.
