I just noticed something recently, cuz most times I have been using chase-cam when driving (Claire's racing quests). So for fun I tried driving in cockpit view (like Project Cars, Assetto Corsa etc).

I found that for those cars that has a ballistic shield kind of windshield, when you turn them on the windscreen clears up, but then the outside starts to get brighter and brighter until it's all just a big patch of white light. Can't see a damn thing.

Going back to chase-cam view works fine. Going to cockpit mode again throws up the white wall.

This seems to only happen with cars that has those blast-shield kind of windshield (Nomad cars predominantly). Also, yes, happens only in day time. Night time is fine.

How do I fix this?
I've always driven in first person and it's been like this since release day. it's also been reported numerous times on this very forum. I haven't played the game in a while so I'm not sure how or if it can be alleviated by adjusting graphics settings, but you might find an answer if you search the forums for threads about "over exposure".

You don't through the game settings, but you can probably find a mod that does that...
Thanks guys for the response.. I normally drive cars in chase-cam/3rd person mode when the games aren't "simulators"... so yes, I use chase-cam view in GTA 5, The Crew, Forza etc. Only in simulators (of anything) do I go into first person/cockpit views (ETS2/ATS, flight sims, Project Cars etc).

I shall do a search for mods and "over exposure" as suggested.

Thanks again!
