djoxyk: this is how things getting fixed. bugs? don't debug, just cut. then we'll release this bugfest as new DLC
CDPR seriously lacks proper coding specialists. if you wrote a code and it has bugs you must have an expertise to fix it. There's set of tools that will help to do so. If they prefer to cut content instead of fixing it it speaks volumes about their ability do deliver bug free game.

Gersen: Actually yes it is.

It's something very common in software development that usually happen during backlog grooming, when you have bugs in a non mandatory feature and you are tight on schedule, it's a pretty common practice to simply decide to get rid of it for the time being and maybe add it back later when you have the time to fix it.

And it's not just for bug but also for unfinished or even simply untested features.
should not happen on big scale. dev mentioned removing whole quest arcs for bugs, you can't compare it to disabling some small features here and there.
or that mention of police AI. someone bugged it and there's no version control in the mad house? it is hard to believe
Unfortunately the whole cutting sections because of bugs or inability to figure out a solution is what killed Duke nukem forever. Cut content was: the entire villain arc, bombshell, a mothership and a fathership to fight inside. Multiple enemies and their backstories. A wonderful section out in the desert, And a far better more grounded driving section instead of the on-rails monster truck smash'em up. They also removed about six entire levels.

In Cyberpunk there's so much evidence of cut content in the game, I've noclipped into buildings that are half created that you can't see from the outside. Tearing apart the files you can see a ton of code that just is sitting there not being implemented. The different half finished geometry of interiors blows my mind. Some are fully textured but they don't have any clutter put in.

It gives me hope that they could re-enable a lot of this, seeing what they've done in the past with their other games and seeing how quickly they responded to the major issues right before the holidays shows how committed they are to fixing this.

I truly enjoyed every second I played the game, I may not have liked how it made me feel, but to evoke such emotion... there is something really special here in Cyberpunk. It was an unforgettable experience, and I feel like I'm better for it.

I don't want to hate on Keanu, but f***ing hell, our original Johnny was way cooler and sounded like a maniac. Think Foltest on crack. I don't appreciate his acting either, but he's a very nice man. Walked up to us personally to greet us on the first day and took time to personally thank us one by one when they wrapped up recording.
Keanu was recording in a rented studio in LA, for a couple of days only. He would not have a chance to visit the studio in Warsaw. Only option here is that dev travelled to LA with a very small group of guys, but this would allow to identify him as a leaker. This text doesn't hold as authentic, in my opinion.

So, basically, CDPR works like every other organization out there? Not exactly a shocking revelation.

Re: censorship and cut content, IIRC the first two Witchers got an unrated PC release after the fact so that's probably what they will do.

All of this could of been avoided with a it's ready when it's ready release date!
Apparently the source of this is from 4Chan https://gameinfinitus.com/news/cyberpunk-2077-alleged-leak-details-cut-content-dlc-and-update-roadmap/, so maybe a bag of salt needed for this one?

If even the source is genuine, consider that the information comes from one person within a large organization. There are often many sides to a story, and one person's point of view may not encompass the entire truth of the matter. Still worth reviewing though.
The official Cyberpunk twitter account just said the "interview" is false

"Normally we don't comment on rumors but this time we wanted to make an exception as this story is simply not true."

Pity CDPR didn't have the same attitude to their own blatant lies. So what's next? Performance patches and more of the same DLC's, hardly encouraging...

Excellent tiny video comparing the levels of immersion alone between RDR2 and CP2077.. https://youtu.be/Tmxuw4uSClo

Yeah, I can't trust a thing they say now, I have to see results, and improvements & asdditional things never delivered, first.

CDPR is not going to do a relaunch the game, neither invest months doing huge fixes, but free cosmetics and one expansion, plus, the online module, probably.

Forget the cut content.

I'd say it's done then, as is any future trust of this company, I'll never forget anything, because this company must remain as dead as it's become in my memories.

Good luck to the devs that are focusing on improve things, I don´t care about the executives and that´is it, money it was already spent on hardware and my expectatives washed down.

Time to move on.
so by june the game will be in beta v.2

thanks for the update secret dev
