If you try to calibrate your joystick in Cyberia and find that the joystick calibration menu only registers your joystick's movement within a limited range of the full X and Y grids, then go to Cyberia's installation directory and open the file called "dosbox_cyberia.conf" in Notepad, and look for the section under "[joystick]" that has the following lines:

joysticktype=auto
timed=true
autofire=false
swap34=false
buttonwrap=false
You have to change just one of those lines.

Change the line "timed=true" to "timed=false", and then save the file and close it. Your joystick should now calibrate properly in the game so that you can use it in the flight levels.
