Hello everyone,

I just purchased and installed the game, and it seems like I can't start it. I am on Manjaro Linux 64bit, and the installation did not throw any error.

When I click the desktop icon, nothing happens. When I change to the game's subdirectory and execute 'sh start.sh', I receive the following error message: "Running The Curious Expedition
./The Curious Expedition: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-3.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I have tried to search for a solution of the issue on my own, but the only idea I could come up with is that the libgtk-3.0.so.0 version of my distro (64bit) conflicts with that used while packaging the game (32bit). That's, at least, what the internet search I have conducted so far suggests - albeit these solutions always related to other programs. My failed attempt to symlink my /usr/lib/libgtk-3.so.0 to the game's subfolder "game" also points in a similar direction, because then the game throws this error: "Running The Curious Expedition
./The Curious Expedition: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-3.so.0: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64"

Any help is greatly appreciated, I would love to play the game :)

greetings

Way faster than expected, I was able to solve the issue :-)

The problem was indeed that I needed the libgtk-3.so.0 as a 32bit library. On Manjaro Linux (that is, Arch Linux), the only thing I needed to do was to install the "lib32-gtk3" package. Now, the game runs fins.

Hope this might help people in a similar situation than the one I was in :-)

Greetings and have a nice day, folks :-)
