I know soft locking has been an issue for many people but none as severe as the case I have where after the elder god cat asks you to start a cult and you say yes, nothing happens. I try hitting every button nothing works. I have already uninstalled/verified game cache at least 3 times but no matter what happens I'm just stuck there unable to play the game. I'll be getting a refund but yeah this is pretty unacceptable. I couldn't find anyone else with my same problem, so I'm more posting this to see if anyone had the same experience. It just really sucks, cause this game looks really fun and right up my alley.

I installed a second version of the game on a different drive with the base offline installer and cutoff auto updates. Booted the second copy of the game, played past the elder god part to where I could save the game, exited and booted initial install with the update. Hope this helps.

I get past this cutscene when starting the game in save slot 2, but get stuck a bit later.

This actually did work thank you a lot
Hey, this post seems quite outdated, but i have this exact problem with the offline-installer. I tested 1.1.3 and 1.1.4.

When I install via gog-galaxy it works, but i want to play on linux (via lutris) and therefor need the offline installer. Also, the whole point of buying on gog is the offline installers without drm for me, so it would be nice to have a fix.
Thanks to everyone who posted a review about this issue.

Fortunately, I no longer buy video games on release. Cult of the Lamb was on my wishlist and I almost bought it before reading the reviews and comments. The product page says "DRM free". I don't understand why this game is allowed to be sold on GOG if you can't play it offline.
