Has the issue with having galaxy formerly installed been resolved? I get no booting whatsoever with the game (not even an error message) if I don't have the client installed, but avoiding a crappy client is the entire reason I use gog.

Greetings ilmucche!

I have the same problem: the game won't even launch for me either. I had galaxy installed before but erased it before buying (and subsequently downloading) the game. Did you manage to solve this problem?

I advise you to slightly alter the name of the topic in order to attract as many people as possible (the title may lead people assume it crashes during the game, not that it doesn't even run at all as you said) ; I'm sure we're not the only ones having the same problem.

Sounds like you have leftover bits of Galaxy on your system. Install the current version of Galaxy and then uninstall Galaxy. Otherwise, contact support and they should be able to help you manually remove the remnants.

Thanks for your reply! Installing the newer version of Galaxy and uninstalling it (via its own uninstall application of course) should suffice then? I will let you know if it works. Thanks again!

Yes, from what I understand from other users with other games.

Greetings Ilmucche!

I contacted GOG's support service and I needed only to follow the first step [there were many to follow if needed be]: delete the Galaxy folder in C:\ProgramData\GOG.com. In order to access it you must have the "show hidden files and folders" activated.

Consider that I installed the game after having Galaxy uninstalled some time ago (never used it though). I did not need to install Galaxy's newest version (and uninstall it subsequently). Should you require it just contact them (great service!).

Let me know if it works!

Greetings Gydion! Your intuition was correct; I just had to get rid of those Galaxy remnants in the system and everything worked! Thanks for your guidance!
