Yes, you read that right :) Crimsonland is now penguin powered and the DEB/tar.gz files are already in your library, ready for download :)

Enjoy! :)

Thank you, gog. :)
I nearly spilled my drink when I saw a Crimsonland update, but I guess it's just the Linux version... Sigh...
Yaaay! :D

Don't knock it just because you don't use it. More people able to play = more sales = more money for the devs.
Oh, man... it won't work on 64-bit. Update, please?

Thanks!

P.S. Mint 17.1 MATE 64-bit

Please see the Linux system requirements for Crimsonland:

Requires the following packages to be installed: libc6:i386, libasound2:i386, libasound2-data:i386, libasound2-plugins:i386, libsdl2-2.0-0:i386 and dependencies.

Notice: this game comes with a 32-bit binary only

I tested the game on my 64-bit install and it ran fine after I installed those libraries.

Thanks for your reply, but this is definitely not ideal. I don't want to remove codecs and plugins only to play the 32-bit build. I would rather wait for a 64-bit build.

The only thing I can recommend is to write a Support ticket about this as I am not sure what's going on with that libsdl2 library.

Yeah, "just the Linux version" may not mean much to you or me, but it's great news to lots of people, I'm sure. Be happy for them. It shows that the devs care about their customers, which is more than can be said of a lot of other devs.

It's kinda like how I dislike Steam, but I try not to rain on Steam users' parade (because I know there are benefits), even though it seems like they love to rain on mine, even going so far as calling me derogatory names when they ask me why I don't like it, and I tell them, respectfully. They call me names like "A luddite living in the dark ages" and "Control-freak" for being willing to give up benefits like autopatching in order to have my own control over patching my game. They call me a "Crybaby" for not liking online activation of my SP games.

All this after they ask me what my problem is, and I answer them honestly and (IMO) reasonably, because I thought they were asking because they really wanted to know. Turns out they already know the arguments backwards and forwards, and are just looking for someone to gang up and beat up on.

Wow, I'm sorry I went off there.

Anyway, my main point is: Stay Classy.

LOL, seriously? So people in the "land of freedom" actually insult people that care to it? Good to know.
