It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I'm trying to open Creatures:exodus for the first time (Windows 10), but I keep getting an error that I need to change my display to "High color (16 bit)". I've gone to the application properties and changed display to 16 bit, but it's not helping. Any suggestions?

I'm having the same issue. Were you ever able to sort it out?
This worked for me:

Go into the application properties of creatures2.exe and only enable Reduced color mode and set it to 16-bit color.
Then in the same directory open launcher.exe and that should work.

I can't run C3 stand-alone because my graphics card does not support 16-bit color, only 32. DS works only after getting an offline patch - the servers are down.

EDIT
Hey, if you go to your creatures 3 folder and right click on engine.exe and set compatibility to XP and the resolution to 16-bit, it works! You have to update all of your shortcuts to do the same, and for some reason when I launch it from Gog Galaxy it complains.
