Does it play in Windows XP Pro? I'd really like to know if GOG has tested it.

UPDATE: I Finally figured out how to get the background music to play in Win XP. After messing around with the settings I finally stumbled upon the winning (and non-intuitive) combination. If GOG wants me to share the solution with them they can kiss my butt, because quite frankly I don't believe their customer support is nearly as good as they claim it to be.

I'm experiencing the same problem with Creatures Village: The sound effects work, but no background music can be heard. The files are present in the Sounds folder, though, and I've even had the chance to listen to them via Windows Media Player. Would you mind sharing your solution? I'm having no luck with my tries, and have been unsuccessful with finding any answers. Thanks a lot!
I just purchased Creatures Village and I am also experiencing this problem. Has anyone other than the original poster found a solution to this yet?
I've noticed the background music files are labeled as midi files, while the sounds effects (which play just fine) are labeled as wav files. I know Vista (I'm using Vista 32bit) has some midi issues, so maybe this is part of the problem?
I could also use the solution to this problem. If you still don't want to publicly post about it for some reason, I'll just be sad.
