How is the online mode, head vs head, coop, only quick game or campaing, how many players?

I've never played CC2 online (in fact, I'm still weak even for some single player maps, which is a shame), but according to the official manual as well as what I've managed to find out using my game, there's ONLY head to head mode (on a side note, wouldn't it be weird to play it in co-op?). You can freely choose to play a single battle, an operation or a campaign.
