Both games freeze after few minutes of battle. Have tried all form of compatibility mode, have stoped all softwares running back but still the same; all is freezing, i can still hear battle sound but nothing move. I use windows 8. Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance

It may be a shot in the dark, but you could try to disable and then enable again DirectPlay.

Look for the windows "Turn Windows features on or off", availabe at "Programs and features". Look for the option "Legacy". Disable DirectPlay and click OK. After unistalling it, enable it again.

Thanks a lot for your answer Wagnershinn. I've tried your advice but still the same :(
CC3 used to crash a lot for me, this was the original release of the game though.

What may be worth trying even though it has apparently had work done on it is to try using the disable visual themes and compatibility mode choices with it. If they don't work then it may be worth trying the http://www.closecombatseries.net forums for help. They're a friendly bunch and if anyone can help you get the game running it ought to be them.
