It was playing well, but then for some reason, when the game was just getting started after a few brief levels, the voices started to break up, and the computer shut down. This is on a Lenovo laptop T60p, Windows XP. It's weird, because Unreal engine games like DX1 and Unreal Gold generally play well on the system, so I don't know why Undying is having trouble. I've had some issues with the CD version of Undying on my previous small screen Windows XP, where it would shut down suddenly, or play in a slow down mode (which other Unreal games had done on that old computer as well). Why is Undying so powerful and yet so unstable on my machine?

I am having a similar problem. Mine crashes in the same way except it seems to be induced by the lightning at the very beginning of the game. I've tried it three times and it blue-screens my PC at the second thunderclap every time. Running a Sony Vaio F, windows 7 pro 64 bit, NVIDIA GeForce 330M
