I couldn't find them either. Did some Googling and it appears it never had subtitles.
Not all the dialogues are subtitled. Actually only a 40% have subtitles.
When we translated the game in italian, we used the editor attached to the dvd game and we modifyied the maps adding subtitles for all the events, so we created subtitles for the 100% of the dialogues. if you understand italian language you can play it in italian or editing the italian file with the same editor you can create your personal version translating the italian texts.

Subtitles would have been nice, because sometimes the pronunciation made things a little difficult.
The spanish version has spanish subtitles for all the cutscenes (even the journal is translated).

I thought it will be the same (just in english) for Gog´s version..but I have seen I made a mistake : s
What about German or English subtitles? I remember having seen or read something about a subtitle mod in one of these two languages a long time ago (unless my memory fails me).
There is a german subtitlepatch/beta in an austrian forum.
I will ask the admin if I can it post here.

Ok it's done ;). Load the patch here --> http://s2l.biz/h8i9ikm21dnv
and use password: dede1-reloaded.forumieren.net
Enjoy ;)

Thanks giver888. I downloaded the file and extracted the archive - so far so good. But, to be honest, I'm reluctant to run the exe. As far as i'm concerned, this is an unknown file from an unknown source doing unknown things. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the file (and Norton didn't complain about it either - except that they haven't any data, which isn't really surprising).
Would you mind giving me the link to the Austrian forum you mentioned as the source for the file? Is there an explanation what the file is doing (like for the Italian text file)?
@Greywolf1: have send you a pm.
By myyelf I had test the patch with
win vista sp2 32 bit ;)

Thanks for the clarification and the pm, giver888. I have installed the files meanwhile (no change to executables or registry settings, by the way). If you extract the new files to a temporary folder and backup the (4) game folders affected, you can easily revert the game back to the original state.
My compliments to the author of the subtitle mod - must have been a huge amount of work! With the exception of a few spelling and grammar errors (no surprise, considering the sheer volume of the texts), everything looks excellent. I noticed one consistent (minor) issue: The German umlaut "ü" is missing everywhere (suppressed by the system, I guess). Like in "Küche", which is printed as "Kche". "ö", for example, has been changed to "oe", and gets printed.
But like I said, this isn't a big deal, no need to correct it, as far as I'm concerned.

Still, I'm pretty sure that I used to have an older subtitle mod, probably in English, which simply adds subtitles to spoken text. A shame that I can't find the file.
The german subtitles are down, can you please reupload them? thx

La fuerza de la costumbre xd

Anyway, any spanish player can find the translation in www.clandlan.net forums (they were the original creators of the AWESOME translation for Planescape Torment too.)

I wonder if Gog would sometime add this languajes pack, since they were created at first for the same publisher (for exmaple, EA) and later are redone as freeware softfware.

Asi es jajaja.

Ah.. clandlan, this guys are awesome, I have not used their stuff that much but in some cases (my lil brother wants to play it) I have, excellent effort they put into their work.

On the GOG matter, I guess, only time will tell, the good thing though is that we have other sources were to acquire proper translation for it, so it's not such a bigie afterall. :)
Can somebody convert Spanish or German translation back to english?
