So I just beat Ambrose and was told to check Jeremiah's room for clues. Now I've been cornered by that guy in the blue suit who got pissed at me and is now attacking me as his monster form. How do I beat him? What is his name, anyway?

Just continue advancing through the mansion. There's probably a door that unlocked somewhere after that event. You'll fight Aaron much later, but not in his ghost form. If you believe you've explored everything, try jumping through a mirror.
