Hi all,

I bought windows version here in GOG to try to run it under a Parallels 9 virtual machine on Mac. Unfortunately i have the (it seems) well known black screen problem (although i can see the publishers/developers advertisers + video intro). I have no complains about that because i think it's a graphics problem (i.e. emulation of the graphic card + drivers), and of course because it's not supposed to play under a virtual machine ;-)

Now, what i would like to ask is that in searching to solve the problem i've found that there exist a Mac native version of this game in the Apple Store (https://itunes.apple.com/app/chronicles-riddick-assault/id434048669?mt=12) ... So my question is: why this version it is not in GOG ? ... Is it due to Apple politics vs. developers ? ... ;-?

Anyway, thanks for any answer about that! ... Hugs from Spain to you all! ... Josep.
The one in the Apple store is running in a virtual environment (most likely WINE/Crossover) according to the comments so its not even native anyway. While it is possible for GOG to do the same, they don't have the rights to do so as the publisher on Mac OS X is different from the publisher on Windows. If Atari was selling Assault on Dark Athena on OS X, then so would GOG.
Good morning Zaine-h!

Thanks for the info ... I was unaware of it' being wrapped into a windows virtual environment (i ddin't read the comments on the link i posted - my fault :( ... So, i'll try to wrap it into wineskin and see if it works there (i will comment after that).

I thought so, but i wasn't sure, hence my question.

Again thanks for your quick answer
Regards ... Josep.
