Does the GOG release still have the TAGES DRM on it? I'm hoping not.
Gog is a strictly no DRM policy service, The only - and I mean ONLY reason I haven't picked up this game from many of the Steam sales is because of the atrocious drm it has. This will be an instant buy if it wins the 60% vote tonight! :D

Yeah, I'm all over it. I actually bought the Steam version for $5 a long while back, but I'm so apprehensive about putting that TAGES crap on my machine that I've never installed it.

This is why GOG releasing newer titles is so worth it to me. The chance to get these games clean and unlocked is a huge relief.
I've wanted this for ages, but the DRM put me off. Would have bought it full price at launch otherwise. But now I get it DRM free and for $5.99. Nice!
I've just tried installing the game and McAfee detected a virus, probably a false positive. I'm trying to install the game with McAfee disabled and I'll tell you wich one is the false positive file.

The false positive file is \System\Win32_x86\dvm.dll

Same with me. Sophos reports "Mal/Obfus-D".
I'm getting the same issue with the dvm.dll and it keeps wanting to download a tages driver (but keeps failing when it tries.)
it looks like dvm.dll is part of the Solidshield activation used by Tages. I did some google search and most errors related to this file are from games that uses Tages, and false positives from anti-virus are a common issue.

there is also a lot of "cracks" and "no-cd" patches that uses modified versions of dvm.dll

I tried installing Chronicles and the launcher responded by saying the program could not start because dvm.dll was missing. I too had googled Chronicles and dvm.dll and learned that it was part of the copy protection. I wasn't watching my PC when it installed, but from what I've read here my AV program may have removed dvm.dll.

I hope this can get patched or something....
Microsoft Security Essentials just picked is-NDV51.tmp up as Malware/Obfuscation directly after installing as well. Disconcerting :S... Would be interested in an offical word from GOG on this report and/or just how much of TAGES is still embedded in this game.
Same here. MSE detects Obfuscator.XZ during installation (is-MHHF8.tmp file) and whenever I try to launch the game (dvm.dll file).
Very disappointing!
cant even restore the false positive in MSE :(
Same problem with MSE. I disabled real-time protection and reinstalled. The game launched fine, but once I re-enabled RTP, it found the dvm.dll and nuked it.

Sure would like a response from GOG on the cleanliness of this installation and/or the existance of DRM residue.
GOG uses the Reloaded crack - dvm.dll is still tagged as it. Your AV's are picking it up, because it was obfuscated and well... cracked.

Edit: Just to clarify it: it's clean.
