I just bought the complete but the font\text ingame is very small. Is there a way to increase the size ?
My screen size is 1920x1024. Even if I set the game to 800x600 the fonts are still unreadable there are so small

if u set windows = 1920x1024
set windows 1024 x 768, maybe ok ?

No luck with that either

The only font related advise I have found for COTN to date is that deleting or renaming the Avery Standard & Avery Deluxe fonts in your computer's font folder (C:\Windows\Fonts) will make the game use an Arial font instead, which is apparently much easier to read.

Haven't found anything about increasing the text-size in the game though.

Well I just took a look in my Fonts folder & saw no sign of either Avery font, so I guess that's not much help!

Just bought CoTN from GoG - 'lost' previously downloaded edition.

Used to play this on XP machines OK. Am also getting v small text almost unreadable when I run this under windows 10.

I have tried to change program display settings and also native display settings but seems to make no difference.

CoTN works perfectly in a parallels XPsp3 VM on a mac. The game resolution was set at 2048 by 1536 32 bit and the XP screen was at 800 by 600 !. The text is normal here and much bigger. Tried to reproduce this both on a win10 VM and surface pro 4 - even with 800 by 600 screen resolution - made absolutely no difference !!

No idea what's happening - haven't seen this problem in other games eg Caesar 3, Pharoah, Emperor.

Why did M$ remove the XP mode from windows 10? Can't be bother faffing round with hyper-thingy to get an XP VM running on win10.

BTW Avery fonts are not loaded in windows directory of XP or win 10.

Will post if I get anywhere.

I was able to fix the font size issue by right clicking on the CoN executable file, going to "Properties" and making changes there instead of thru the compatibility menu. I changed to Windows 8 and checked the "run as Administrator" box and clicked on "change high DPI settings" clicked on override high DPI scaling behavior and picked scaling performed by "System (Enhanced)" and it seems to work fine now. I hope this works for you
