Changing resolution in the Haemimont's Imperium Games*
*Imperium I (Celtic Kings), Imperium II (Punic Wars), Imperium III (Great Battles of Rome)
1. Count the number of characters in your screen resolution. For example, in 1600x1200 it will be equal to 4 characters and 4 characters.
2. Open the \Packs\data.pak file in notepad (after creating a backup), find "resolutions" and change that parameter which is equal to your number of characters.
For example, for change the resolution to 1920x1080 (4x4 characters) you need to change Res3_x = 1280 and Res3_y = 1024 (4x4 characters)
3. Run game and chose your resolution in the options.

Edit: Most likely resolutions above 1600 are not supported.

And I heard there is a possibility to play online multiplayer through tunngle.

It worked with GBR. If you don't want to disable intro, I recommend this method over my own one.
Should be using Hex editor, BTW

Quote from my y post in my topic:
Editing the data.pak file like Jqt is indeed guarantee better chance compare to my method (be caused I don't know the file structure and options that actually included in celtic kings ini).
I luckily get an unencrypted version of ini file from another haeminont game and with some modification It worked with Imperivm III (CK is Imperivm I) but I don't really know wether or not it work with CK and Nemesis.
Jqt method (editing data.pak) has 2 drawback, I think:
- Unable to disable intro
- Editing should be done by hex editor, using text editor seem cause problems like yours.
Also, I suggest, just keep 1 default res (1024x768) and change all other to the one you desire.
Some one talented may help us decrypt the ini file???

I looked, resolutions above 1600 are not displayed in the options, so probably these resolutions are not supported.

To disable intro just need rename the corresponding video file in the Movies folder.

Hi, I recently purchased the game on GoG and have this issue of not being able to change the resolution. However as English is not my native language i do not fully understand your message. What do you mean by counting characters? the resolution of my laptop is 1600x900. I did try your solution but somehow the changes are not saved.
My eng is not native too :). "1600" has 4 characters/symbols: the 1st is 1; the 2nd is 6; the 3rd is 0 and the 4th is 0; "900" accordingly has 3 symbols. In order to not corrupt (http://www.flexhex.com/docs/howtos/hex-editing.phtml) the file it is necessary to find suitable on number of symbols resolution setting. In your case it is 1152х864. Therefore you need to find and replace Res2_x = 1152 Res2_y = 864 to your Res2_x = 1600 Res2_y = 900 in the data.pak by notepad.

Second method. Copy-paste that text: https://pastebin.com/g1fS25VD in notepad, change Res4_y = 1200 to Res4_y = 900, save, rename to CONST.INI and drop to DATA folder (create it) in game directory (ex: D:\Games\Imperium III\DATA\CONST.INI).
Hello, i have a problem, maybe you can help me.

I can play Imperivm 3 GBR normally, but although the screen scroll with the mouse at the upper and left limits, the screen not scroll with the mouse at the lower and right limits, and i have to use the navigation keys to move the screen. Even so, i cannot move the screen diagonally using the navigation keys.

I think it could be a resolution problem? Do you have something similar? Any advice or solution?
