This doesn't seem to work, I cannot bind the triggers nor the dpad or stick to directions...

How do you use it with this game?

Best option is to use a key binder like XPadder, Joy2Key or similar (I'm sure others have their own preferences).

Using the default bindings for direction, gamepad works but handling is awful.

Meh, guess I can't advise people to get any game in this series. Really subpar all in all. :P

I'm using the xbox-controller for C2. I could not use the right stick or the triggers however, but there should be enough buttons for everything you need. If the default handling with the stick is bad, you can adjust the sliders (steering sensitivity, throttle sensitivity and force feedback)
