Has anyone been able to get it to work? I've tried everything including GameRanger but can't get my and my son's games to connect for a multiplayer session. I can see his game (and vice versa) but when we try to connect (via our home LAN) the person trying to connect has the mouse icon change to an hour glass and just freezes for a minute or so before going back to the multiplayer menu,

Definitely not the firewall

Would appreciate any help or ideas

Anyone???

Anyone????

Me and my friend struggled with a similar problem, both running on windows 10 (but via internet) and I think we tried everything from forwarding ports to using Gameranger, Hamachi, running different compatibility modes and completely disabling our firewalls and antivirus (desperate attempts).

Gameranger simply caused the joining player to get stuck on the loading screen to the game.

Hamachi made it possible for us to find each others games, but it just hanged, as you described, when we tried to connect.

FINALLY we managed to connect to each other and the only thing that worked was to use both Hamachi and Gameranger(!). Basically using Hamachi to simulate a LAN and the Gameranger to connect us and start the game.

I hope this helps someone else who might have struggled with this.

Best,

so you use windows 10 and the game doesn't crash as soon as you click on multiplayer?
which version do you use?

Whoa quite a lot to get it running. Still up for some multiplayer, yay or nay?
