I've tried setting Redbook to On in both profile and userprofile, and setting the file to ReadOnly. No-go. The music plays once then shuts off. Help!
I have the retail version of this game, but I have the same problem. :(
I have fixed it like this:

- Turn the music off in the game.
- Make playlist in windowsmediaplayer and run it in the backgraound while playing C2PII.

This is what I've done to fix it and despite not being the perfect solution it works great actually.

If it's redbook audio, wouldn't you need to burn the music to a blank CDROM and have that in the disc drive for it to actually play?
Actually, if you have a program which makes a virtual CD and treats the music you load onto the virtual CD as if it's from an actual CD, then you don't need to burn a new CD to have it read as if it's from a CD.
Did anyone try and see if a virtual CD would work? My concern is that the game would only look for a cd in D:/ and already have a D:/ drive. some games are fine with it while others are really picky with drive letters. Not to mention that modern Windows is just picky about redbook audio anyways.
