Can't find a single site where I can download the Ages of Man mod, given one review for the game said don't play the game without it, I am not inclined to buy CTP2 without it!

I think I have the files for Ages of Man IV (AOMIV.rar (317MB) and AOMIV.zip (37MB)), though I'm not sure they are the latest (from 2011 and 2010 according to file time stamp). I'll try to upload them to my OneDrive but it'll take awhile to upload over 300 megs with only ~50kbps upload speed. I'll post a link if and when I get them up.

That would be fantastic. Now do I buy the game while it's on sale, or wait for availability of Age of Man?! :)

Well, the sale last for another two days so either way is fine. Upload is halfway now so it'll take at least another three hours to finish. If nothing goes wrong that is. It's MS service so... ;-p

Downloaded the files no problem. Bought the game and installed it. Installed AOM IV and all worked perfectly!

You are a star my friend, but you do realise that based on my research, you have the onlt site on the whole of the web to download this. No other links I have found work! You may, therefore, want to kepp it available for a little while because I feel other will be coming to this thread and using your link! :)

I am new here so first all thank you to all those who have posted suggestions on how to fix bugs etc. and allowing me to play call to power 2. I ended up deleting the "winmm.dll" file and it allowed me to launch the game. I played ctp1 and thought it was the best civ game, being able to play the second one after all these years has made me a happy man.

Regarding the installation of the aom mods posted here I experience the following issues. I am a bit of an amateur when it comes to these things so maybe there is a simple fix that you could help me with.

I wasn't really sure how to install the mod, so I went ahead and tried to execute all the executable files. The first one I tried was the "aom" file in the "Ages of Man" folder, which prompts the error msg "aom.exe - system problem. The programme cannot be started, as MSVBVM50.dll is missing on this computer. Install the programme again to solve the problem." When I click on "OK" (the only selectable option), it prompts the following msg: "The program Call to Power 2 modswapper was not executed properly", which allows you to seek help online, but this leads nowhere.

I then tried the .exe file located in the "Ages of Man>ctp2_program>ctp" folder called "ctp". It prompts and error msg that reads "dll\util\cpuinf32.dll not found". When I click on "OK" (the only selectable option), it prompts the following msg: "DLL Error. Cannot find dxver.dll".

I then try another .exe file in the extracted folder "ctp_program" called "ctp". When I execute it, it gives me the following error msg: "ctp2.exe - system error. The program cannot be launched, because mss32.dll is missing from this computer. Install the program again to solve the problem."

Did I perhaps extract the folders incorrectly, or do I need to take different steps? I notice for example, that the file "dxver.dll" is present in the folder "ctp_program>ctp>dll".

Any ideas? I am on Windows 10.

as I just posted for the Mot-mod, I thought lets have another for more mods and I found your post.

Tried to download from your link, but nothing happens. Might be me though ;)

I can see the files, but when I try to download (right-click, download button) nothing happens?

First make sure none of your extension is not blocking scripts (Noscript, uMatrix etc.) or otherwise interfere with the functioning of the site

Then there's few ways to download files:

When in folder, just press download on top bar -> downloads entire folder compressed into one zip file (OneDrive year month day.zip)
Hover over file, tic the circle in top right corner of all files you want to download and press download -> downloads selected file(s) (in case of multiple files, compressed into one zip archive like above)
Left click the file -> downloads the file (there is few second delay but this works for me)
right click the file and from drop down menu select download

I attached couple screenshots for reference. My interface is Finnish but buttons should be in same places and work same way regardless of language.

I just tried again (nothing changed from my side) and just hit download and it worked......tried a few times yesterday and didn't......(using the method you indicated)

Now it is laating ;)

And no Finnish is not too far away ;)

Will try the single file method afterwards, downloading the whole bunch ;) (just to see if it was just this) [And are you the same name on the Apolyton side?]

Don't know why it didn't work prior. Now also single file download works like a charm.......

Glad to hear you got the download working in the end. No idea why you could not before but if you ask Microsoft support, they probably claim it's not a bug but a feature. ;-p
