my call to power 2 game from gog wont show the intro movie or any of the wonder movies, its just a black screen but I can hear the vids regardless, what do I do to fix this video problem?

Don't remember having had this problem.
One cause might be that you don't have directx90c installed.

Regardless if you have a newer version, it is NOT included in the higher version.

Otherwise, more details would be really helpful. (like OS and so on)

Hmm. Microsoft website from a Microsoft product.

tried installing it, it did not work or would not let me install it. now what do I do?

sorry I downloaded the direct x installed it then played the game and it did not work. I tried reinstalling the game but could not find the DXSETUP.EXE file, where is it located?. I started the game and runed it with administraitor but it still would not work. also it wont play music either. now what do I do to fix this problem?

Read what I said in the post just above yours. The DirectX setup you downloaded is merely used to extract the necessary files to the folder you tell it to. Once that's finished, that's where you'll find DXSETUP.exe.

Not the most intuitive of solutions, but blame Microsoft.

You're probably missing the needed video codec (indeo codec apparently). You could try installing some codec pack (k-lite or something).

Alternatively, if you can live without the videos, you could rename the video folder. This will cause game to skip the videos altogether but you can play game just fine otherwise.
