Is it working with GoG version without problems? I try it with my retail copy and it still crashing and squeeking and so on.
Maybe the GoG version is the only way, how could i play it without problems. Than I'll buy it.

YMMV, but I see no crashing or squeaking on my GOG copy.
Then again, Apolyton edition is supposed to work correctly with retail edition, so the problem might be on your end.

I've made it available on my site due to apolyton site downtime. Just go to downloads and it's in temp folder. I uploaded .rar (winrar) and .7z (7zip) packed so you can use either one (1097 revision is the latest AFAIK unless there was a release just before downtime). Apolyton should come back online today but it was delayed once already so we'll have to wait and see.

Hey folks,
I just bought CTP2, and tried running it on a standard windows XP. It wouldn't load, so I tried everything I read here: moving videos, running into compatibility mode, and then I tried installing the Apolyton patch (the latest one, June 2010), and it's still crashing.
Do you have any idea?

You should: (a) contact GOG.com support, and/or; (b) post this in a topic of its own marked as a question, rather than in a thread about an entirely different topic. Be sure to include details as regards your system (OS, memory, etc.). Also, I've not seen your particular problem before, but I would suggest uninstalling the program, rebooting Windows, updating your drivers (including DirectX), and then reinstalling the program.

I just bought Call to Power II and I have installed the Apolyton update linked here...thanks
and the music doesnt play...which I expected
but I have two questions...
1. Has a work-around been found to activate the music on the GOG version?
2. Do the in-game movies play while using the Apolyton update?
