According to a GameFAQs review resolutions above the default reduce movement speed (from [url=https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Call_of_Cthulhu:_Dark_Corners_of_the_Earth#Video_settings]PC Gaming Wiki[/url]. However, I can't verify that this is true.

Can you test the GOG version by setting resolution to the lowest or default and then to the highest supported and compare?

Well, I still can't pass the final escape scene without dying. Therefore I believe that this is not fixed...

I finished the whole game with widescreen fix just fine so I guess it's fixed. Managed to beat final escape in second try without issues.
