I wonder that Caesar III's precessor hasn't made it to GoG. It has it's own charme and was always an even bigger challenge to me comapared to Caesar III and the following CB titles.

Caesar 2 on GoG would be also great, because it seems to be really hard to get other versions working on new systems. Anyone else wishing this too...?
Thumbs up, good idea.

Caesar II was really a fantastic game, would be nice if it makes its way to GoG :)
+1 for this idea - they should bring Caesar 2 to GOG (along with the other city building games from Impressions, of course).
Caesar 2 is even older than Caesar 3, maybe it just won't run on any modern computer and isn't Caesar 2 worse than Caesar 3 ?

It's more simple, but not necessarily worse. Also, it'd be probably not that hard to emulate it with DOSBox.

I run Caesar 2 in DOSBox on Win7 64-bit. It runs great.

Yes, since it's a DOS game, I assumed it shouldn't be hard to get it to run, so that can't be a problem. Thanks for the empirical evidence.
No, I guess the reason is the same why we don't see the other city building games.
I've just realized I don't know where my Caesar 2 CD is (I thought it was among my other game CDs) - all the more reason for me to wish it came to GOG.
UP! Hail Caesar! look at my ID!
I would LOVE to see all the Caesar games, and the ones like it come to GOG.
Like Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom !
:-D
These games are the $h!T
Still, one thing I won't miss:

PLEBS ARE NEEDED! PLEBS ARE NEEDED! PLEBS ARE N... *Repeatedly smash speakers with hammer*
I think there is a windows version of this too. Believe I still have it somewhere.
Good game. Maybe it will get here someday.
Thumbs up!

I know where my Caesar II CD is but I would pay for a CD free Dosbox version. Caesar II has that classic game feeling, like Civilization II and Sim City 2000. Even though Caesar II has been surpassed by Caesar III (like Civ III has to Civ II) it is by no means obsolete.

Have you got it to run? In the meantime, I've found my CD, but it hangs when I try to launch the installer.
Anyway, it'd be really nice to have Caesar 2 here.

That would be my question, too. I have several versions of Caesar II around, but after I believe I had left Windows 98 I never got them running again. And even the versions I could play before always were plagued by that random crash before manual battles...
